Mr. Bishop concentrates his practice on estate planning, elder law, wills, trusts, estate administration, probate, trust administration, and tax planning. He is an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veteran’s benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). He is a member of the Leadership Pleasanton class of 2009-2010.
John joined the firm as a summer law clerk in 2005, and then as full time lawyer in March 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy, emphasis in taxation, from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management and a Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School.
He spent most of his formative years in Pleasanton, having arrived with his family at the age of six. He attended Pleasanton schools and graduated from Foothill High before pursuing his accounting and law degrees. John’s wife, Chantalle, also grew up in Pleasanton and attended Amador Valley High School. The Bishops have a son, Zachary, and a daughter, Elizabeth.
John’s hobbies include basketball, golf, tennis, and scouting. He currently serves as a scoutmaster of a local boy scout troop and loves to be out with his boys on outings and activities.
